Trusted Coaches Youth Basketball Coaches Clinic Presented by Minnesota Youth Athletic Services and Mpls. Lakers

The 1ST ANNUAL TRUSTED COACHES YOUTH BASKETBALL COACHES CLINIC, presented by the MINNESOTA YOUTH ATHLETIC SERVICES, is designed to provide youth basketball coaches with valuable information and tools on how to teach the game of basketball. The clinic is for youth coaches in grades 3-8 who are preparing to enhance the quality of play during the winter travel season.

The clinic will be delivered in a split format, with presentations and classroom instruction in the morning headlined by collegiate coaches John Tauer and Bryan Bender. The afternoon will feature an on court live demonstration of how to lead a youth basketball practice. The afternoon will also bring together concepts from the morning and provide tangible coaching techniques to take back to your program.

Each breakout session will include a blueprint of techniques introducing and reinforcing the foundational skills to be an effective youth basketball coach, while covering essential elements for developing confident players from grades 3-8. The clinic will not only focus on providing coaches new knowledge and tools for teaching the game, but also techniques for improving communications with players and parents.
